About The Downtown Eyecare Team:
Jon P. Webb, OD, FAAO Jenny Webb, ABOC After spending many vacations in the Upper Peninsula, (Jenny’s family is originally from the U.P.) Jon and Jenny Webb decided it was not just a place they wanted to visit, but the place they wanted to live. Moving to Marquette in 2005, the door to Downtown Eyecare opened on August 1st. The goal was (and is) to have an office that has state of the art equipment and yet maintains a friendly warm atmosphere. Jon graduated optometry school from Ferris State in 1987. Jenny has worked as an optician since 1990. Jon and Jenny have a strong affection for their community and feel it is their duty and privilege to participate with MCAC, UPAWS, NMU and the Marquette Breakfast Rotary to name a few. Jon was awarded membership in the American Academy of Optometry and Jenny was voted “One of the Most Influential Women” in the optical business by Vision Monthly Magazine (2010).
Kelly Bartlett, ABOC Kelly is originally from Sioux Falls, South Dakota. She moved to Marquette in 1992. She started working in the Optical field in 1994 and started working for Downtown Eyecare in November, 2005. Kelly takes pride in the relationships that she builds with her patients. “My patients become my friends. I truly enjoy my position as an Optician. I have learned many aspects of my job. I travel to the International Vision Expo every year in New York City to see the current styles of eyewear so that I can always be ahead of the game. I also travel once a year to Green Bay, WI to receive my Continuing Education credits in order to keep my ABO license current.” Kelly lives in Marquette with her husband Greg and son Trevor. They enjoy being together camping, boating and biking. Family time is very important to her.
Linda M. Smith, ABOC   Linda was born and grew up in Marquette. She moved to Minneapolis, where she pirsued a career in optics, working in retail optical, LASIK and private practice. She is excited to be back in Marquette and working with patiens at Downtown EyeCare. " Dr. Webb and Jenny have the perfect blend of fashion forward frames and more conservative styles making this an optical for everyone!" During her free time Linda enjoys volunteering as a mediator and is Praise Band leader at a local Church, as well in a local band with her son Seamus.
Ashlee K. Luukkonen Ashlee was born and raised in the Copper Country, where she started working as an optician in 2004. In 2008, she earned her BFA degree in design from Finlandia University. She considers her creativity and people skills to be her best assets. She moved to the Marquette area in the summer of 2009 and joined the Downtown Eyecare team of professionals. “Here I was welcomed as family – a place where I can put my skills to good use helping our patients find the best, most fashionable eyewear possible.”
Anneli Saarivirta-Brazier, ABOC Anneli began as an apprentice optician in Reno, Nevada in October 1992 and she knew instantly that she loved the line of work. Since then, she’s spent about two years time as an optician in the very friendly, but chilly town of St. Cloud, Minnesota and she’s been back in her true home of Marquette, Michigan since August 1996. Anneli received her ABO certification in 1997 and has acquired a multitude of skills during her optical career. While she has learned the basic optical duties of adjusting, eyeglass ordering and finishing lab work, Anneli feels the most important lesson she has learned is how to work with and enjoy people. Anneli says, “I feel blessed to have encountered so many humorous, smart and diverse patients.” During her time away from work, her passions are gardening, working on home projects, travel, wine tasting and especially dogs. She loves the little critters and feels lucky to work with several other dog-loving folks at Downtown Eyecare, where she hopes to be for many years to come.
Remington "the wonder dog" Master Remington hails from Upper Peninsula Animal Welfare Shelter (UPAWS). He is Dr. Webb and Jenny's English Springer Spaniel. Remington is a good boy who loves everyone. His hobbies include cross country trail running, hanging out at the beach and chewing his chew-chew toys.
